I can see the light!

I know I sometimes complain about photos not having enough light, but that doesn’t mean you should focus on the lights! Fully 50% of this photo of the kitchen is made up of ceiling tiles and fluorescent lighting! Try and take in the whole room – I would say that if you’ve got to leave something out of the picture, it should be the ceiling, not the floor and fixtures.

Just an odd, dark picture of a master bedroom. Could be improved by adding more light and shooting from another angle.

Poorly composed and poorly lighted. What this photo really needs is more light – turn on the lights! And the focal point is that light fixture on the left. A better composition would include the floor and more of the room.

Simply turn on the lights and this photo would get an instant A-OK from me! It shows the whole room, it’s shot at the right angle, but unfortunately, it’s too dark to look very appealing.

I’m not sure what this picture accomplishes. Maybe there’s a yoga studio below this place or something? At any rate, why waste a valuable photo spot on the MLS® with something like this when you could show off your client’s property instead?

There’s not really much good in this photo of the home’s entrance. Crooked, poorly lit, and not really focused on one particular thing.

This one’s so foggy – one wonders if there’s a frightened home owner behind that shower curtain, hiding from the camera! It’s also not a really nice way to show off a bathroom – stand back and/or use a wide angle lens.
